Exercise Physiologist - Moreton Bay
Renae graduated from The University of Queensland with an honours degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology. Prior to finishing her studies, Renae worked as a support worker. This role sparked her interest in working with NDIS clients and grow her understanding when working with people with neurological conditions.
Renae is interested in exercise oncology and completed her honours research exploring the effects of exercise in individuals with prostate cancer. Whilst attending University, Renae worked in dementia research assisting with The UQ Centre for Exercise and Healthy Brain Ageing. This allowed her to work with older individuals and grow her knowledge in this area.
Renae’s primary focus is maintaining the independence and quality of life of her clients. She is interested in providing exercise intervention to clients with Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, multiple sclerosis, individuals with cancer and various mental illnesses.
Outside of work, Renae enjoys hiking, going to the beach and petsitting.
