Exercise Physiology
Team Leader

Rhiannon or ‘Rhi’ as everyone knows her by at Gen Physio, has been a staple of this company since we started servicing clients back in 2015. She started out as an Exercise Physiologist alongside our CEO, Jordan who is a physiotherapist by trade, and another one of our longest serving physio’s, Brooke.

For this month’s Employee Feature, we decided to ask Rhi some questions about the development of her role from working as an EP to becoming a Team Leader and then starting her own family and coming back to work on a part time basis.

What does your role at Gen Physio entail?
My current role at Gen Physio is an Exercise Physiology Team Leader. As an exercise physiologist (EP), I get to work with a diverse range of clients, treating both chronic and acute conditions including neurological disorders, diabetes, cardiopulmonary disease, mental health and musculoskeletal injuries.

How has your role progressed since starting at Gen Physio?
I graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2014. My first two years in the industry, I worked in a private practice on the Gold Coast predominantly working with athletes. It was a great learning experience for me to work alongside some very experienced practitioners. This also provided me the opportunity to work with the Australian Institute of Sport treating a range of different athletes. With only two years experience in the health industry at the time, I was interested in expanding my knowledge by working with a more diverse caseload. This is where I found Gen Physio, or as it was formerly known ‘Generation Physiotherapy’.
