What can we deliver via Telehealth?

Our clients do not need to seek modes of transport as we deliver treatment within the home, making our service convenient and easily accessible for all members of the community. Learn more about the in-home services we provide in your area.

Physio / Podiatry: Our physiotherapists and podiatrists work face-to-face across QLD, NSW and VIC. Via telehealth, we support exercise program reviews, follow-ups and education. Outside our regions? Contact us to discuss options.

Occupational Therapy

Goal-setting, daily living strategies, assistive technology prescription and home environment review, all conducted via video so recommendations reflect your client's real world.

Exercise Physiology

Personalised exercise programs, chronic disease management and motivational coaching, structured to build your client's capacity and consistency from home.

Speech Pathology

Communication coaching, AAC support, swallowing education and social communication groups, delivered online with the same clinical rigour as in-person, including NDIS progress reporting.

Dietetics

Nutritional assessment, chronic condition management and behaviour change support for NDIS and aged care clients, including practical guidance for carers and families.

Who is telehealth for?

Telehealth sessions with GenPhysio are funded the same way as our face-to-face services. There is no additional cost to your client for receiving therapy online.

Available to all plan management types, self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed. Telehealth sessions are funded under Category 07 Improved Daily Living (Therapeutic Supports) at the same rate as face-to-face delivery.

Clients receiving Support at Home funding can access allied health under the clinical care services category.

Eligible where allied health is included in the care plan. We work directly with care managers to confirm funding arrangements before the first session.

Available to anyone who would like to access GenPhysio services privately, regardless of location. Contact us for current session pricing.

What are the benefits of telehealth?

No interruptions to care

Transport issues, illness, bad weather and difficult days do not have to mean a cancelled session. Consistent attendance is where therapy outcomes are built, telehealth makes that easier to maintain.

Access to our full team

Via telehealth, a client in rural South Australia, the Northern Territory or metropolitan Perth has access to the same GenPhysio multidisciplinary team that supports clients across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

The home advantage

When your client shows our occupational therapist around their kitchen or their bathroom via video, we see exactly what they are working with. That leads to recommendations that are practical, specific and immediately applicable, not generalised advice.

Hybrid flexibility

For clients in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, we can combine telehealth and in-person sessions, intensive in-person input where it is clinically indicated, with telehealth for check-ins, program review and coaching in between.

Clinically sound

Telehealth delivery is well supported by research for occupational therapy, speech pathology, exercise physiology and dietetics across a wide range of presentations. Our clinicians follow the same evidence-based frameworks in every session, regardless of where it takes place.

Commonly asked questions

Allied Health, Anywhere In Australia

For occupational therapy, speech pathology, exercise physiology and dietetics, yes. Research consistently supports the effectiveness of telehealth delivery for these disciplines, and our clinicians are experienced in structuring sessions to work well on screen. For physiotherapy and podiatry, in-person assessment and hands-on treatment remains where those disciplines deliver most value. We are transparent about this and will always recommend the right mode of delivery for your client’s presentation.

A smartphone, tablet or computer with a working camera and a stable internet connection. We send a secure video link before each session, there are no apps to download and no accounts to create. If your client is not confident with technology, our team will walk them through the connection process before the first appointment. Phone-based sessions are also available for suitable session types.

Yes. NDIS telehealth sessions are billed at the same rate as face-to-face sessions under Category 07 Improved Daily Living. There is no price difference for your client.

Yes. For clients in Queensland, New South Wales or Victoria, we offer a hybrid model, combining in-person sessions with telehealth where it suits the client’s goals, circumstances and clinical needs. Talk to our team about what combination makes the most sense.

Phone-based sessions are available for some session types, particularly exercise physiology coaching, dietary support and some speech pathology goals. Contact us to discuss your client’s situation and we will find a workable option.
