Occupational Therapy is a client-centred allied health profession that works with people across the life span to enhance their independence and participation in their meaningful daily activities. Occupational Therapists encompass a whole-person perspective and work collaboratively with individuals, their families and other supports to achieve their occupational therapy goals.

The term “occupation” describes the everyday activities that we need to or want to do to fulfil our life roles and bring meaning to our life.

Our Occupational therapists work closely with clients to maximise their independence in their day to day life and are trained to assist their clients in overcoming limitations caused by injury or illness, psychological or emotional difficulties, developmental delay or the effects of aging.

Our Occupational Therapists can help by:

  • Upper limb rehabilitation
  • Assistive Technology/equipment prescription & training
  • Pressure care management
  • Home modifications
  • Home safety assessments
  • Functional Capacity Assessments
  • Supported Independent Living assessment and support

Our Paediatric interventions include aspects like;

  • Family education
  • Individualised therapy plans
  • Self-care skills
  • Emotional regulation
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Handwriting
  • Social skills

Our services are individually tailored as we believe that each person is unique and has a different set of circumstances. This enables our clients to prioritise what is meaningful to them so they can best achieve their goals.
